Fordham Law School
Fordham Law School, which was founded around 1905, is the law studies subsidiary of the famous Fordham University in Manhattan, New York. Also called the Fordham University School of Law or simply Fordham Law, Fordham Law School is proud to be a part of the eight prestigious law schools in New York that is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
Fordham Law School is considered to be one of the best law schools in the United States because of its 25th and 75th percentile LSAT score average. In fact, the US News and World Report acknowledge the quality education provided by Fordham Law School by giving it the 33rd spot in the list of best law schools in the entire country. The faculty of Fordham Law School is composed of legal scholars who are considered to be some of the best in their chosen field of expertise. (3) The school curriculum of Fordham Law School is divided into three graduate programs: the Juris Doctor, the Master of Law, and the Dual Degrees. (4) The Juris Doctor degree program in Fordham Law School requires its students to take up courses in Property and Torts, Legal Process, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Legal Writing, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law. The offered Master of Law degree program in Fordham includes courses in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law, International Business and Trade Law, and Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law. In order to provide the students more options and wider fields of expertise, the administrators of Fordham University collaborated to establish Dual Degree graduate programs. Some of the degrees include JD/MBA and JD/MSW programs in law, business administration, and social services.
Aside from taking pride from its world-renowned education of law, Fordham Law School is also proud of its outstanding student publications. The scholarly journals of Fordham Law include the Fordham Law Review, the Fordham International Law Journal, the Fordham Environmental Law Review, the Fordham Urban Law Journal, the Fordham Intellectual Property Media and Entertainment Law Journal, and the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law.
