Gonzaga Law School

Situated in the town of Spokane in Washington, Gonzaga Law School is the center for law studies in the prestigious Gonzaga University. Also known by the name of Gonzaga University School of Law, the school takes pride in being the only law school in Washington that is not located in Seattle. (1) The Jesuit institution that is Gonzaga Law School is also accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Gonzaga Law School considers itself to be a humanistic institution, a Jesuit institution, a Catholic institution, and a law school rolled into one. (2) The school acknowledges the importance of creativity and intelligence, encourages people to serve the society, spreads ethics and morality, respects intellectual arguments, and protects freedom.

The students of Gonzaga Law School are thoroughly practice legal research and writing, frequently conduct strategy sessions, regularly join oral advocacy competitions, and usually observe critical thinking. (3) Because of the mentioned customary activities, the students of Gonzaga Law School mature to be great lawyers, dedicated public servants, and better individuals.

The degree programs offered by Gonzaga Law School are standard Juris Doctor (JD) degrees, joint Juris Doctor and Master in Business Administration (MBA) degrees, joint Juris Doctor and Master of Accountancy degrees, and joint Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work degrees. In order to allow their students to further expand their educational horizons, Gonzaga Law School came up with a study abroad program. The study abroad program allows the students of International Law to visit the Gonzaga University campus in Florence, Italy. (4)

Like other law schools, Gonzaga Law School is also the proud owner of legal scholarly journals. The two outstanding publications run by the students of Gonzaga Law School are the Gonzaga Law Review and the Gonzaga Journal of International Law. Aside from the celebrated student publications, Gonzaga Law School also boasts its state of the art Chastek Law Library. The Chastek Law Library supports the students of Gonzaga Law School by providing them with a huge collection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and other publications. The library also allows law students to access searchable archives such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. (5)
