It was in 1944 when Indiana University took interest in buying Indiana Law School as part of its growing educational system. Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis then offered full-time and part-time educational programs. To date, it has 8,000 alumni who now work for the government, prestigious law firms, business organization, and even in other countries. (3) The law school has various study programs including the J.D. (Juris Doctor), LL.M. (Master of Laws), and S.J.D. (Doctor of Juridical Science) degree. Joint degree programs are also available for an MBA and J.D. degree. Other courses include Public Affairs, Arts in Philosophy, Public Health, Library Science, and Health Administration. (4)

Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington

First established in 1842, this division of Indiana University Law School is among the oldest law schools in the country. It also has one of the largest library resources up to 750,000 volumes, making it the best U.S. library in 2004 according to National Jurist Magazine.

Indiana University Law School in Bloomington also has wide-range law degree programs including, J.D., LL.M, S.J.D., and combined Master's and J.D. degrees. Because of its remarkable clinical programs and brilliant members of the faculty, it is number 36 in the current list of the top 100 law schools by U.S. News & World Report. (5)
