Law Degree
Degree in law, specifically named J.D (Doctor of Jurisprudence or Juris Doctor) in the United States and LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) in other countries, represents the course to be taken up by anybody intending to be a lawyer, which can be completed within three to four years of study. (1) In the United States, students planning to take up degrees in law should have a baccalaureate degree and must pass the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Law degree is widely considered a professional degree.

Practicing lawyers today are a product of intense and in-depth study. In fact, they underwent a series of exams, several academic researches, rigorous in and out of classroom lectures, and extensive intellectual trainings. If you are currently a law school student, you must know by now that many opportunities are waiting for you. Depending on your specialization, you can practice your expertise in several fields. (5) For instance, you can be employed by the government as a public lawyer and advisor. You also have opportunities of becoming private corporation lawyer focusing on lawsuits, fraud, employment, tax, and other internal processes that require legal services. Meanwhile, if your specialization border on either malpractice, injury, and wrongful death, you can actually make a career in health institutions such as hospitals. (6) There are some possibilities, however, that you would be hired by a specific individual as his personal attorney.
